This site is about spirituality in the New Age, Esoteric teachings, Ageless Wisdom, miracles, supernatural phenomena and modern spiritual teachers such as Sai Baba, Maitreya and other Avatars. It also gives information about topics such as life after death and complementary medicine. The new world prayer was given by Maitreya in July 1988 is really an affirmation with an invocative effect, and will be a powerful tool in the recognition by us that man and God are one, that there is no separation. By affirming that I am the creator of the universe I can come into consciousness (eventually) that I am God, the true reality. I am the creator of the universe. I am the father and mother of the universe. Everything came from me. Everything shall return to me. Mind, spirit and body are my temples For the Self to realize in them My supreme Being and Becoming The Lord Maitreya Take your brother's need as the measure for your action, and solve the problems of the world. There is no other course. Share and save the world. Fear not! All in time will be renewed. All in time will be returned to light. Lord Maitreya "Let the disciple seize hold of the tail of the serpent of wisdom, and having with firmness grasped it, let him follow it into the deepest centre of the Hall of Wisdom. Let him not be betrayed into the trap set for him by the serpent of illusion, but let him shut his eyes to the colourful tracery upon its back, and his ears to the melody of its voice. Let him discern the jewel, set in the forehead of the serpent whose tail he holds, and by its radiance traverse the miry halls of maya." Alice A Bailey
"Before the throne of God, the angel, with all the other angels, stood and cried: 'Lord of my life, grant me the strength to tread the path of revelation; to cross the sea of dark illusion, and face the lighted way of earth.' God said: 'Go forth and far away.' "Before the gate which opens on the lighted way to peace, the angel stood alone and said: 'Lord of my life, the way of revelation is the way of manifested life; the path of dark illusion leads to the light which scatters every shadow. I seek to tread the lighted way which lead back to thy Presence. As yet that way is dark. What shall I do?' God said, 'Draw near and enter into thine own light, and in that light, see Light.' "Before the gateway of each newborn day, which holds within its sealed hours ordered responsibility, each morn I stand. I cry aloud: 'Lord of my life, how can I do the duty of this day and seek detachment? Meet every need and yet free myself from ties and bonds?' God said: 'The sun draws near and vivifies the earth. Naught can it take from out the earth. Live likewise. Give and ask naught!'" Alice A Bailey |
Review of Dr. Frereydoon Batmanghelidj's book, "Your Body's Many Cries For Water", which presents a simple therapy for many ailments.
Are you thirsty? More to the point: is your body thirsty, but neither you nor your doctor recognise the signals? Sufferers from high blood pressure, allergies, asthma, high cholesterol levels, ulcers, diabetes, bulimia, rheumatism, and other ailments have been helped by the simple salt-water therapy advocated by Dr Fereydoon Batmanghelidj in his book Your Body’s Many Cries For Water. Backed by years of direct experience and close medical observation, he provides case-histories of patients who, after following his advice, have succeeded in reducing high blood pressure, allergic reactions and high cholesterol rates, as well as controlling asthma and curing ulcers. Dr Batmanghelidj even goes so far as to link lack of water to depression. Water is the answer — or, to be precise, water containing very small amounts of salt. Dr Batmanghelidj recommends drinking eight glasses of water daily — a total amount of about two litres in which half a teaspoonful of salt has been dissolved. In response to a question in Share International (October 2001) about the efficacy of such a simple treatment, Benjamin Creme’s Master confirmed its authenticity. Prison revelation After graduating from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, Dr Batmanghelidj returned to his native Iran to set up medical centres and clinics. Then, as he describes it, “the political volcano erupted”, and angry masses overthrew the Shah and the Iranian Government, and almost all professional and creative people were rounded up, imprisoned, tried, and “dealt with” as quickly as possible. Some were shot within the first day or two; others were given a little more time before being “processed”. Dr Batmanghelidj was lucky to be among the latter group; his skills as a doctor were useful to prison authorities. The Evan Prison where he was held had been built for 600 people, but was “sardine-packed” with 8,000 prisoners — a nightmare of life and death in that hell-hole haunted everyone and tested the mettle of the strong and the weak. This was when the human body revealed to him secrets not understood by the medical profession. “One night,” he writes, “I woke to see an inmate suffering excruciating stomach pain. He had a peptic ulcer and needed pain relief. His face dropped when I told him I had not been allowed to bring medical supplies with me into prison. At that moment my destiny revealed itself — it spoke to me in the loudest of words. I gave him two glasses of water containing a tiny pinch of salt. His pain disappeared in minutes. You cannot imagine the relief he experienced. ‘Drink two glasses of water every three hours,’ I told him. He became pain-free for the rest of his time in prison. “Instinctively, I realized why I had come to prison. I stopped thinking about myself and started to think about doing medical research in the prison.” During his years of captivity, he says, he cured many ulcer cases with only water, and saw water completely reverse a wide range of conditions. Dehydration Medical professionals have been educated to treat pain and disease with medication. Consequently, says Dr Batmanghelidj, many doctors do not fully understand the problems associated with dehydration. During their training, medical students receive about six hours of instruction on nutrition and a few hundred hours on drugs. This is when doctors may be influenced by the chemical industry’s “doctored” information. After 18 years of full-time research, Dr Batmanghelidj acquired an understanding of dehydration as one of the primary causes of pain and disease, something never taught in medical school. Although Dr Batmanghelidj has presented his clinical findings at international conferences and in medical journals, institutions have refused to acknowledge his work. He claims that the mainstream medical world refuses to study the medicinal effects of water used in place of drugs. In the ancient tradition of medicine, doctors were thinkers and philosophers; it is only recently that they have been forced to memorize pre-digested information to get through the curriculum in teaching hospitals. Preventative pro-active health In his book, Dr Batmanghelidj shows how preventative medicine can become the main approach to health care in any society. Medical professionals today underestimate the vital role of water in the human body. Water is the primary substance and the leading agent in the routine events that take place in the human body. Everyone knows that water is “good” for the body, but they do not know what happens if the body does not receive its required daily water. Tea, coffee, alcohol and manufactured beverages are considered good substitutes for the normal water requirement of a body under average daily stress — a catastrophic mistake, according to Dr Batmanghelidj. While it is true that these beverages contain water they also contain dehydrating agents which actually deplete the body’s fluid reserves. It is not generally possible to drink manufactured beverages as a full replacement of the water needs of the body. At the same time, a cultivated preference for the taste of sodas will automatically depress the natural urge to drink water when sodas are not available. Dr Batmanghelidj believes that we need to look at water’s many chemical functions within the body. Because dehydration eventually causes a loss of some functions, the various sophisticated signals given by the body’s water-rationing system during severe and lasting dehydration are misunderstood and thus misinterpreted as indicators of unknown disease conditions. Immediately such signals appear, Dr Batmanghelidj writes, the body should be provided with water. However, medical practitioners have been taught to silence these signals with chemical products until pathology is established and diseases are created. Chronic cellular dehydration kills — painfully and prematurely. Dr Batmanghelidj reminds his readers that the human body is composed of 25 per cent solid matter and 75 per cent water. Brain tissue is said to consist of 85 per cent water. In prolonged dehydration, the brain cells begin to shrink — imagine a plum gradually turning into a prune. Unfortunately, in a dehydrated state, many functions of the brain-cells begin to disappear, such as the transport system that delivers various stimuli to nerve endings. Water distribution is the only way of making sure that its transported elements (hormones, chemical messengers and nutrients) reach the more vital organs. In turn every organ that produces a substance to be made available to the rest of the body will only monitor its own rate and standards of production, and will release into the “flowing water”, according to constantly changing quotas set by the brain. Salt “foremost among human remedies” Dr Batmanghelidj suggests taking a pinch of salt on the tongue after drinking water, which fools the brain into thinking a lot of salt has arrived in the body. Salt is a most essential ingredient of the body. In their order of importance, oxygen, water, salt and potassium rank as the primary elements for survival of the human body. Pliny, around 75 AD, called salt “foremost among human remedies”. Salt will be taken out of the bones to maintain its vital normal levels in the blood. We have to be careful not to lose salt when increasing the amount of water we drink with no added salt. The water keeps the cell volume balanced and salt maintains the volume of water that is held outside the cells in circulation. Batmanghelidj claims in his book that asthma is a physiological adaptation of the body to dehydration and salt shortage. Since salt is a natural anti-histamine, people who suffer from asthma and allergies should increase their salt intake to prevent excess histamine production. Your Body’s Many Cries For Water contains many heart-warming letters from people who describe how they were cured naturally of asthma, cholesterol problems, obesity and other illnesses by following Dr Batmanghelidj’s recommendations. Here is more evidence that, as usual, nature knows best and Your Body’s Many Cries For Water provides a simple insight into nature’s workings.
