Emotional Freedom Techniques


Emotional Freedom Techniques are a very effective way of dealing with all kinds of emotional problems including phobias, anxiety, depression, obsessions, post traumatic stress and many other psychological problems and psychological traumas.

One of the techniques Thought Field TherapyTM (also known as the Callahan TechniquesTM) was developed by Dr. Roger Callahan, a Clinical Psychologist, as a result of a major discovery 17 years ago involving a patient named Mary who had a phobia of water.

Since then it has been further developed and successfully used to treat many psychological problems. This kind of therapy treats a wide range of psychological problems by addressing the bio-energy system directly, using the same Energy Meridian System as in Acupuncture and Acupressure.

Though talking therapies can be effective in relieving psychological problems they are usually very time consuming and the patient has to go through long term treatment with painful reliving of traumatic past experiences. There can be a worsening of the mental state and behaviour disturbances (acting out) during therapy.

Emotional Freedom Techniques only involves short reliving of the emotional trauma coupled with tapping of Acupressure points in the upper body. The condition is relieved quite quickly without prolonged therapy involved in other kinds of therapies and without any medication. The thought field therapy has 80-90% success rate and the relief is long lasting usually without relapse. Therapist can instruct the patient to continue with the treatment at home for all kinds of problems.
