Osteopathy including Cranial Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a method of healing founded about 100 years ago by an American doctor Andrew Taylor Still. Since then Osteopathy has spread worldwide and there are training courses in UK, USA and many other countries. Osteopathy treats musculo-skeletal disorders and many other problems associated with viscera (internal organs).

Osteopathic diagnosis detects changes in soft tissue, bony mal-alignments, and alterations in movements of joints, blood flow, lymph flow and nerve impulses. Diagnosis is made taking a through history followed by a physical examination. This is followed by treatment techniques of passive stretching and gentle manipulation restoring function to joints, viscera, improving mobility and relieving pain and discomfort.
